Over the
years, Solutions Engineering has garnered a number
of distinctions from both the local and national
business communities. Rapid growth and success
in the IT industry led to a string of awards as
a Washington Technology "Fast 50" Tech Company.
Additionally, Solutions Engineering has been recognized
as one of the National Technology Fast 500. Below
are some of the more recent accolades the company
has received:
In
October 2006 Solutions Engineering received "The
Assistant Secretary's Award for Excellence"
from the Department of State, due to the design
and completion of CENTRIC. CENTRIC is an automated
risk monitoring and mitigation database and software
platform for protecting all of the embassies and
Department of State facilities throughout the
world. Risk elements (threat, vulnerability, importance)
are detected early on and monitored throughout
their life-cycle. Mitigation measures are offered
from a datastore of previously successful measures.
Projects are initiated where required. This was
the first performance-based dashboard implemented
by the Department of State and the first application
installed on their secure network. The entire
project of the first release was completed in
16 months after award.
